Battle of the Bands is CAB’s oldest running event. This year we celebrate our 16th annual hosting of the Battle of the Bands. This event allows local bands to showcase their music to students at TAMUCC while also competing for a cash prize and a chance to open up for the Islander Music Festival held in the spring. A panel of judges is typically present to determine the winner, and participants are able to vote for the People’s Choice.

BEACH BOUND

Beach Bound is an event co-hosted by CAB and the Student Volunteer Connection. The purpose of this event is for runners to donate their lightly used winter clothing to the Corpus Christi community to provide warm clothes for those who may not have access to them otherwise. At the beginning of the race, runners remove their clothes and run a mile in bathing suit attire. All clothes are then collected and donated.
